The auto connect features make any Miracast less reliable. But they left that bug there probably on purpose. Part of the problem is the auto connect feature in their miracast app. Am an it tech, had to tell her when it only was able to do it the once, that Samsung has their own adapter so that's probably why. This is just a plea to the public to JUST VERIFY if any of you has gotten your Samsung Galaxy S5 to connect to the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. I am in the same boat with the exact same configuration as OP (and my original Surface Pro works with it.) It COULD BE a great product for Microsoft if they got their head out of the sand. I sure thousands of these adapters are being returned because of such poor support.
